Ah, yes, Lego Movies: happiness that the world needs right now. This time around, Lloyd and his fellow ninja friends must reclaim Ninjago City after it’s taken from them by a devastating force. Joy, my little sister, fell in love with this movie and as expected, she practiced her ninja moves for the next three weeks. The movie is great for families and even better for those of us who are fans of LEGOs.

Hosted by Warner Bros. Studios

Movie Synopsis

In this big-screen NINJAGO adventure, the battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power of Spinjitzu.

3 Lessons Kids Will Learn From The LEGO Ninjago Movie

Of course, Lloyd and his team learn plenty of lessons throughout their journey, allow me to share them with you. . .

Don’t Be Ashamed Of Who You Are: Lloyd, the son of Lord Garmadon, is a cast-out throughout all of Ninjago City because of the evil doings of his father. This makes Lloyd distant from society and lives a life of shame. He eventually learned to accept who was, even though lots of people disliked him. The lesson, I hope kids will take from this to be proud of who they are regardless of what people think. Unless you’re Garmadon, then you should really rethink your choices.

Know Your Strengths: Lloyd, who now that I think about it has a ton of issues, feels inferior to his friends who all can either wield Ice, Fire, Water, Earth, etc. As the story progresses, Master Wu reminds Lloyd that he can’t use their elements because he wields the greatest power of all, the ability to bring the team together. However, Lloyd doesn’t value the skills he possesses and makes some terrible decision until he realizes he holds the one element needed to defeat their enemy. Of course, this lesson can be applied to many individuals who are afraid to pursue their goals. Sometimes people need to be reminded, that they are more capable of accomplishing their goals than they think, but it’s up to them to unlock their inner power.

Have Faith In Others: Lloyd and his evil-stopping friends couldn’t reclaim Ninjago City without the use of teamwork and trust in one another to fill their roles. This lesson teaches us to leave some things in the hands of others because we can’t always handle things on our own, sometimes we need a team to tackle an issue or two. Furthermore, it enlightens us on the abilities that people surrounding us may possess, and you never know what they can or cannot do unless you give them the opportunity to show you.

Well, there you have it guys! The LEGO Ninjago Movie arrives in theaters September 22nd so don’t miss out as it is a great viewing option for families. Before I close this out, I would like to note that I loved seeing my favorite childhood toy come to life once again on the big screen, the animation was well done, and I think this film will be a big hit amongst today’s youth. All that’s left to do is sit back and find out ourselves.
